Modified PTFE gaskets are made of PTFE resin added with a certain amount of fillers, such as glass fiber, bronze powder, molybdenum disulfide, graphite, carbon fiber, etc., mixed uniformly at high speed and then molded by molding. Made by high temperature sintering. Has excellent compressibility, recovery and sealing properties. The unique properties and advanced features of PTFE gaskets show sealing and torque retention. In terms of cold flow and material creep characteristics, it overcomes the shortcomings of traditional PTFE. At the same time, it can better maintain the bolt load than traditional PTFE, which not only improves the durability of the seal, but also reduces the maintenance of the flange.
The advantages of graphite-filled PTFE gaskets, low friction coefficient, good compression strength, and improved wear resistance; make its use greatly exceed the traditional PTFE, which not only improves the environment but also saves costs. Suitable for chemical, petrochemical, hydrocarbon reaction and power plants.
Pure PTFE gasket, full name PTFE gasket, also called PTFE gasket or Teflon gasket abroad, has good characteristics such as corrosion resistance, aging resistance and non-conductivity. Polytetrafluoroethylene pH value 0-14 (except molten alkali metals and fluorine under high temperature and high pressure). It can have good mechanical strength between -180°C and 250°C. The pressure is 5Mpa.
Note: When the temperature is lower than -185℃. Teflon gaskets will become brittle. Pure PTFE gasket is a clean sealing product that will not pollute any substances it comes into contact with, and can be widely used in food, medicine and other industries.
Expanded PTFE gaskets are truly advanced and unique materials. It has the excellent performance of creep resistance, cold flow resistance, ultra-low temperature resistance, no pollution, easy installation and disassembly. Under a small pre-tightening force, it can withstand considerable internal pressure even in a pressure fluctuation environment. It is very suitable for rough or abraded, uneven glass flanges and temperature-changing sealing occasions. We can choose Gore, Klinger, Garlock, Sealon and other expanded PTFE sheets for customers to produce the sealing gaskets they need.
Glass fiber filled PTFE gasket (modified PTFE gasket): Glass fiber filled PTFE gasket, also called glass fiber modified PTFE gasket, is made of PTFE resin added to a certain extent A large amount of fillers, such as glass fiber, bronze powder, molybdenum disulfide, graphite, carbon fiber, etc., are mixed uniformly at a high speed, then molded into shape, and then sintered at high temperature. Has excellent compressibility, recovery and sealing properties.

It is especially suitable for sealing occasions where pollution is not allowed in the food, pulp, paper, and pharmaceutical industries.
The calculation process of PTFE gasket pressure is as follows:
(a+b)×(a-b)×π/4
After calculating it × density × height.
a=diameter of outer diameter, unit: m; b=diameter of inner diameter, unit: m
Namely: π/4×(a+b)×(a-b)×δ×ρ
δ is the thickness unit: m;
ρ is the density in kg/m3
Teflon gaskets can generally be divided into three processing methods:
1. PTFE gasket is produced first, and then cut into a certain size and shape by machine or manual cutting. It is suitable for small batches of large gaskets with a certain thickness, and can also be used for small batches of medium-sized gaskets.
2. First produce PTFE tubes or rods, and then turn them into ring gaskets, which are suitable for small and medium batches of small and medium size gaskets.
3. First make the PTFE gasket mold, then press and sinter to shape, and then repress. Suitable for large quantities of small gaskets, with high production efficiency and low cost.
The characteristics of PTFE gaskets. PTFE is known as the "King of Plastics" because of its chemical resistance, heat resistance, cold resistance, and oil resistance. It is known as the "King of Plastics" because of its chemical resistance, heat resistance, cold resistance and oil resistance. The newness is almost zero. Its structure is dense, and its molecular structure is non-polar. It is used as a gasket, and the contact surface can be smooth and non-adhesive to the metal flange. In addition to being corroded by molten alkali metals and fluorine-containing gases, it can withstand the corrosion of a variety of acid, alkali, salt, and grease solutions.
Teflon gaskets include pure Teflon, filled Teflon or expanded Teflon. Polytetrafluoroethylene gaskets and washers are made of suspension polymerization polytetrafluoroethylene resin. Compared with other plastics, PTFE has the characteristics of excellent chemical resistance and temperature resistance. It has been widely used as a sealing material.
